While working with you and your child, Christina uses unconditional positive regard and prioritizes creating a warm, nonjudgmental, and engaging therapeutic atmosphere. Christina specializes in treating children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, and other struggles. She hopes to build on trust, empathy, and mutual respect.

When working with your child, Christina will utilize language they understand and activities to help them participate, ensuring that each child's unique needs and preferences are met. Additionally, Christina looks forward to collaborating closely with parents or guardians to provide support and resources for the entire family.

One specific approach that resonates deeply with Christina is cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT equips children and adolescents with practical tools to recognize and challenge negative thought patterns, manage overwhelming emotions, and develop healthier coping strategies.

Why choose an intern? Interns receive the highest level of supervision, support, and training. This allows interns to gather feedback from well-trained professionals as well as implement counseling skills and principles that are newer to the field because our interns are learning them as we speak!
